This is still an experimental e85 fuel tune, but yikes!
Here is how much power a modified and tuned Ford F-150 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo engine can produce when running on E85 (85% ethanol) fuel. You have seen us test trucks tuned by the guys at 5 Star Tuning before. These are validated tunes that are available for sale.
We have also tested a new Ford Expedition that is running a customized E50 (50% ethanol) fuel blend. This Expedition can keep up with a stock Ford Mustang GT. The modified Expedition is putting down about 650 horsepower at the crank.
Check out the tuned Expedition in the video below.
The dyno-chart below is still an experimental F-150 truck that is running E85 fuel. It has a few modified parts: intake, intercooler, and catalytic converters. However, the engine and the turbos are still stock. The engine and transmission are tuned by 5 Star.
The result is a crazy 601 hp at around 5,600 rpm and 662 lb-ft of torque at around 3,400 rpm. If you account for drive-train loses, this 3.5-liter V6 is making in the neighborhood of 720 horsepower and the crank. Yikes!
The guys at 5 Star Tuning cover almost any Ford vehicle out there: Ford Ranger, Super Duty, Explorer ST, Focus RS, and many others as well.
Here is another tuned Ford truck comparison review. This one is about drag racing tuned trucks with trailers. Yes, a driveshaft was broken.
