FOOTBALL fans were shocked to find football legend Paul Gascoigne is in a Worcestershire town.

The former attacking midfielder appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning talking about the upcoming world cup taking place in Qatar later this month.

Viewers were shocked to see it saying on screen that he was appearing on video link from Evesham.

Mr Gascoigne, best known as Gazza, gave the England players some advice ahead of the games.

Reminiscing about his heyday, he said: "The night before the semi-final, I couldn't sleep, so I said I'm just going for a walk.

"And I ended up playing tennis at 10-11 at night against two Americans and Bobby Robson found us, caught us and went off it.

"So I ran to my room and I wouldn't open the door and then eventually a letter came through from underneath the door in the morning saying 'I've already called you daft as a brush."

Although Gascoigne was spotted in Evesham, it is unknown if he actually lives in the town.

Fans have been bemused that he appeared from the town.
