This is what it's like to daily drive a new Raptor.

The new 2021 Ford Raptor is packing a 3.5-liter high-output twin-turbo V6 gas engine with 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The maximum torque now comes in at an earlier 3,000 rpm mark. The 10-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the wheels. Ford says – the truck's new coil-sprung rear suspension is more effective at putting the power to the pavement or to the dirt. It should result in a slightly better acceleration time when compared to the 2nd-generation truck. I put it to the test in the hot Nevada desert to find out.

I did not have a 2nd-generation Ford Raptor available for a drag race comparison, but it's still a lot of fun to launch the new Raptor in different modes and listen to that new exhaust system.
