CASPER, Wyo. — Natrona County Fire District crews responded to a semi truck fire on Highway 387 on Wednesday, April 5. While the trailer and its contents were a complete loss, there were no injuries, NCFD shared.

In a social media post, NCFD said the Natrona County Interagency Investigation Task Force determined the semi experienced mechanical failure on the rear axle of the trailer while it was traveling on the highway. That sparked the blaze that claimed the trailer and contents.

Highway 387 was shut down for a period of time but was opened up after fire was extinguished.
