New Holland reveals the T7.300 Long Wheelbase tractor

New Holland’s recently announced T7.300 Long Wheelbase (LWB) tractor is

New Holland's recently announced T7.300 Long Wheelbase (LWB) tractor is designed for high power in a compact size, maintaining the dimensions and maneuverability of other T7 tractors.

This new model is built with the Horizon Ultra cab, sporting a range of productivity features.

"Our customers told us they wanted a tractor with more power without the downside of bigger frames and more weight, and they didn't want to sacrifice maneuverability," says Oscar Baroncelli, head of tractors for New Holland. "We took up their challenge and developed the new T7.300 LWB; it delivers greater engine power with larger tires, with no increase at all in overall dimension."

The T7.300 LWB tractor comes in at around 20,000 pounds, running on an FPT Industrial NEF 6 engine brought down from New Holland's bigger T7 Heavy Duty tractor. The new tractor has a maximum 280 hp. for draft work, and boosted up to a maximum of 300 hp. for PTO jobs.

The new Electronic Variable Geometry Turbo feature helps to ensure high torque and fuel efficiency at lower RPMs. The four-range Auto Command Transmission enables seamless shifting between four mechanical ranges so operators’ working speeds can always be close to a mechanical drive point.

"What's unique to us is there are four points of what we call ‘mechanical efficiency’ that are aligned with specific gear speeds — three field speeds and one transport speed," says Ken Paul, marketing manager for New Holland. "This is a lot better than a hydrostatic efficiency because you want all that power going through a gear mechanically, and being transferred to the wheels to the ground. Some manufacturers out there only have two points, so they're driving a lot of horsepower through their hydrostat in that transmission, losing a lot of pulling power out of their CVT."

The large tires are 6.7 feet in diameter, enabling increased traction with less soil compaction. The axles have received updates as well with an upgraded drive on the front for durability. An optional upgrade is available for larger axles with up to 12.5% greater carrying capacity compared to previous models, according to a New Holland, designed for working with larger implements or front-end loaders.

This new tractor model comes with an array of new technology features, controlled through the IntelliView 12 monitor.

The Tractor Implement Management system allows two-way communication between tractor and implement to optimize passes in the field, making reductions to fuel and input usage while maintaining consistent PTO speed. The Intelliturn feature automates steering during a headland turn, selecting the optimal path to minimize time and compaction.

Purchase of the T7.300 also comes with five years of New Holland's telematics for free.

The T7.300 LWB's cab is designed to be quiet and comfortable, about 10% bigger than previous models. The new welded cab frame, combined with its isolation from the tractor's driveline makes for a 66 decibel in-cab sound level. The cab is also designed for a smooth ride, with active electro-hydraulic suspension to reduce cab movement and vibration.

The tractor introduces new features to the T7 line like high-flow, electro-hydraulic remotes, with fully configurable controls, and a new hydraulic circuit designed to reduce connections by 30%. Operators can manage heavy implements with the new self-centering hydraulic stabilizers with adjustable lock points.

The T7.300 Long Wheelbase tractor is available to order now, hitting dealership lots in June, ranging in price from $207,000 to $360,000, depending on the configuration. For more information, visit NewHolland.com.
